What is at the heart of cool cars everywhere? Is it the speed they can travel at? Is it the thought of the wind brushing your hair? If it’s the latter, then you have a soft top (convertible), or someone’s pinched your roof! Well, it could be either of these things. Or perhaps cool cars mean something else to you entirely. But to me, it is the shape of the car. Not so much cool cars but cool curves … Sexist? Perhaps, but true none the less. I think I classic car is defined by it’s architecture.

Buying a new car is a great feeling. The smell of fresh leather as you The fresh smell of leather as you enter the car. The paintwork is gleaming and waxy smooth. You might even catch yourself stealing a glance at the reflection of your pride and joy as you drive it out your house. Skip ahead by 12 months and see how your car looks now. Is it still gleaming new or does the paintwork look tired, dull and old? How can some cars look brand new even though they are already 3 years old? Why do others look old when it just rolled out the showroom 12 months ago?

Motorcycles have become a major part of American culture, especially in recent years with the re-emergence of Harley Davidson and similar high quality bike manufacturers. In fact, many enthusiasts have more than one motorcycle at home to be used depending on what kind of riding they wish to do. Of course, when it comes time to move, or for some other reason the bike must be transported a long distance, this will often involve a motorcycle shipping company.

With all of our oil problems, the idea of the electric vehicle has risen from the ashes. Here is a guide to electric vehicles and how they work. Most of the people in the world will either drive or ride in a vehicle in their lifetime. Most of these vehicles will be powered by an internal combustion engine, which will run on either gasoline or diesel fuel. While these vehicles have been the standard for nearly a hundred years now, new engine types have started to make an impact on the vehicle scene, which include electric and hybrid engines. Electric engines are the cleanest engines available to consumers today, so it’s important to learn about electric vehicles and how they work.

Many people go to public car auctions (the ones you don’t need a Dealer license for … anyone can go) in order to get a good deal on their next car. But the fact is that these auctions provide serious income possibilities as well. While there are many older, higher mileage vehicles at these auctions that I personally am not particularly interested in, there’s almost always some hidden “gems” as well that are ideal for reselling. Profits on these sorts of vehicles are usually in the $1,000 to $3,000 range.

If you’re in the market for a new car, watching for the monthly car sale numbers announced by the major automakers can often help you determine if it would be best to buy now, or to wait a bit more for better prices. When there’s solid consumer demand and car sales are brisk, prices remain strong. Without any existing hints of weakness, it’s unlikely we would see better deals due to increased manufacturer incentives and/or Dealer discounts (although we can see this at times on particularly slow-selling models).

I had been thinking about buying a car for two years. After another $1000 of repairs on my 1994 Buick Roadmaster (purchased new) with over180,000 miles, it was time. In the past, when I sat in a new car (at dealers and at auto shows), the comfort did not match my Buick’s “sofa like” seat so I put off buying. During the past 24 months I determined the make and model but not the color; thus one Friday my plan was to check the colors at a local dealer. Later, the best price would be obtained via online bidding - a proven way to obtain a competitive price. |
